EXPERIENCE! EVENT AT CES TAKES PRESS ON A WILD DIGITAL SAFARI!
Pepcom took the consumer
electronics media on a “digital safari,” and more than 1,200 press and analysts
showed up to enjoy the ride!
Digital Experience!®, the largest media event during the
Consumer Electronics Show®, was held on Jan. 6th, featuring an African
safari theme and more than 125 “big game” companies showing their latest
innovations. The exhibitors were more than happy to entertain the overflow
crowd…as well as the oversized elephants and giraffes.
“Your event far
exceeded our expectations,” said Alex Fedorak, Director of Public Relations at Kia
Motors America, which showed a new in-vehicle electronics system. “Much
of the broadcast coverage we saw from CES was actually filmed at the Digital
Experience! event too.” Microsoft’s Embedded Systems group, which exhibited
with Kia, shared the sentiment. “Your event was absolutely fantastic,” said Chris
Elliott, a PR representative for Microsoft. “We were thoroughly impressed, not only with
the attendees there but with the event overall. You made a lot of people happy.”
Digital Experience!, an
independent showcase held annually during the CES® show, is an invitation-only demo event that
gives journalists and industry analysts the opportunity to preview the newest
products from dozens of leading technology companies. This year’s event
featured a wide variety of consumer electronics companies, including headliners
such as Canon, Google, HP, Intel, Kodak, Lenovo, LG, Microsoft, Motorola,
Nikon, Nokia, Panasonic, Philips, RIM, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, and Yahoo!.
The record crowd of press
attendees at this year’s event represented nearly all of the country’s major
print, broadcast, and online media outlets, plus a growing contingent of
foreign press. “Year after year, Pepcom’s Digital Experience! provides us with
a vehicle for maximizing our media exposure that cannot be duplicated,” said
Jay Pechek, Public Relations Manager for Buffalo Technology. Added Dave Leong, Public
Relations Manager at Kingston Technology: “We were busy for four hours, and
the event was only supposed to be three hours long! You know it's a great
show when you can't even leave the table.”

Feb. 15th in Barcelona, Spain, during the Mobile World Congress® show. MobileFocus Spring takes place on Mar.
